For a moment, think about that lipstick that you have in your bathroom. Is it in the medicine cabinet or on the sink? You might think it is not important but in fact 2007 studies found that lipsticks from top brands contain lead. Lead is a potent neurotoxin that is linked to numerous health and reproductive problems. What is a nuerotoxin you ask? Well according to the dictionary, a nurotoxin is a toxic substance that damages or destroys nerve tissue. That is not something I do not want in my lipstick. Lead simply does not belong in prouducts like lipstick but alarmingly harmful ingredients exists in lots of personal care products. Something to think about the next time your little girl wants to play "dress up" and put on Mommy's favorite lipstick.
